VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination) is a national-level computer-based entrance test conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) for admission to B.Tech programmes across its Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati campuses. It is one of India's largest private-university engineering entrances, with 4-5 lakh candidates typically appearing each year. The exam is fully institute-controlled and operates outside any centralised government counselling. How does the fee category system work?

Does VITEEE accept Biology students?
Yes, for select B.Tech programmes like Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, candidates with Biology (in place of Mathematics) can apply, but the Mathematics section in the exam is still mandatory.
Is VITEEE easier than JEE Main?
Generally yes. VITEEE is moderate in difficulty, aligned with NCERT, and rewards speed and accuracy more than deep analytical reasoning.
