UP NEET UG Counselling (DGME Uttar Pradesh - Lucknow)
Overview
DGME Uttar Pradesh conducts the state's NEET UG-based counselling for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats. UP has one of India's largest combined pools of government and private medical seats, spanning flagship government colleges like King George's Medical University (KGMU) Lucknow and Banaras Hindu University Institute of Medical Sciences (BHU-IMS), a large number of newer district-level government medical colleges, and a substantial private-college sector. 15% of seats in every state government medical/dental college go to the All India Quota (AIQ), counselled separately by MCC (mcc.nic.in) - only the remaining share is filled through this state counselling.

- Keep the standard document checklist ready - NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, and valid ID proof - keep both originals and photocopies ready for verification.
❓ FAQs
Is there a separate UP medical entrance exam?
No - UP NEET counselling uses NEET UG rank only.
Is BHU-IMS covered under UP state counselling?
BHU is a central university, so check the current year's notification for whether its MBBS seats route through MCC AIQ, its own process, or UP state counselling, as this can differ by seat category.
