NIFT Entrance Examination (National Institute of Fashion Technology)
Overview
The NIFT Entrance selects students for B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes across all NIFT campuses. B.Des candidates take CAT (Creative Ability Test) + GAT (General Ability Test) and, if shortlisted, a Situation Test; B.F.Tech candidates take GAT.

What is the difference between B.Des and B.F.Tech at NIFT?
B.Des is design-focused (fashion, textile, communication, etc.); B.F.Tech is an engineering-oriented apparel-production programme requiring PCM in Class 12.
Is there a Situation Test for everyone?
Only B.Des candidates shortlisted after CAT + GAT take the Situation Test.
