MET (Manipal Entrance Test) is a national-level computer-based entrance examination conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, for admission into B.Tech programmes at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal and MIT Bengaluru. The exam is fully institute-managed and does not participate in centralised government counselling. Several lakh candidates register each year, with multiple exam slots across April and May; candidates can choose preferred slots, and the best score is considered for ranking. The exam tests speed, accuracy and basic concept clarity, with additional focus on English and logical reasoning compared to typical PCM-only entrances.
