Overview

Manipur's Directorate of Medical Education/Health Services conducts state-quota NEET UG counselling for MBBS and BDS seats at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS). 15% of seats in every state government medical/dental college go to the All India Quota (AIQ), counselled separately by MCC (mcc.nic.in) - only the remaining share is filled through this state counselling. RIMS Imphal, notably, is a central government institution that runs its own counselling for a portion of its seats through MCC, while JNIMS and the state quota at RIMS go through this state process.
