Overview

KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) conducts the centralised Karnataka state-quota NEET UG counselling for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats in government colleges (Bangalore Medical College, Mysore Medical College and others) and private (non-deemed) colleges affiliated to RGUHS. Deemed universities - Manipal (MAHE), JSS Mysuru, KLE Belagavi, Nitte Mangalore and SDM Dharwad among them - are NOT part of KEA counselling and run their own separate admission processes.

• Qualified NEET UG in the same admission year
• Karnataka domicile/category rules per the year's brochure
• Separate from MCC All India Quota counselling

Application Process

1. Register on KEA's counselling portal after the NEET UG result
2. Pay the registration fee and refundable security deposit
3. Fill and lock college/course choices
4. Check round-wise allotment and report to the allotted college

💡 Preparation Tips

• Bangalore Medical College and Mysore Medical College are Karnataka's premier government colleges - if you're also considering Manipal, JSS, KLE, Nitte or SDM, remember those run entirely separate deemed-university admission processes outside KEA
• Keep the standard document checklist ready - NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, and valid ID proof - keep both originals and photocopies ready for verification.
