Overview

JKBOPEE conducts NEET UG-based UT-quota counselling for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats across Jammu & Kashmir's government medical colleges, including Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, GMC Jammu, GMC Anantnag, GMC Baramulla and GMC Rajouri/Doda/Kathua. 15% of seats in every state government medical/dental college go to the All India Quota (AIQ), counselled separately by MCC (mcc.nic.in) - only the remaining share is filled through this state counselling. Since J&K became a Union Territory, its AIQ seat-sharing arrangement with MCC follows the same 15%/85% pattern applied to other UTs and states.

• Qualified NEET UG in the same admission year
• J&K UT domicile certificate as defined under the current domicile rules
• Category certificate for reserved-category claims (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/RBA as applicable)

Application Process

1. Register on jkbopee.gov.in after the NEET UG result
2. Upload documents and pay the counselling fee
3. Fill and lock choices across J&K's government medical colleges in priority order
4. Check round-wise allotment and complete document verification at the allotted college

💡 Preparation Tips

• J&K now has multiple government medical colleges beyond GMC Srinagar/Jammu (Anantnag, Baramulla, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua) - research each before ranking choices, since newer colleges have different infrastructure levels
• Keep the standard document checklist ready - NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, and valid ID proof - keep both originals and photocopies ready for verification.
