IIIT Hyderabad UGEE Maths & Computing (separate Math-focused track)
Overview
IIIT Hyderabad's UGEE (Undergraduate Entrance Examination) selects students for the elite Computer Science & Maths (CMS) programme - among India's most math-intensive computer science degrees. Around 35-40 seats per batch from thousands of applicants. CMS graduates excel in algorithmic research, theoretical CS, and top US PhD programmes.

❓ FAQs
How is UGEE different from JEE?
UGEE has subjective math proofs (JEE is fully objective). UGEE selects for theoretical/research-oriented students. CMS branch combines algorithms, theory of computation with abstract mathematics.
Career outcomes for CMS?
Top US PhD programmes (Stanford CS, MIT, CMU), quant finance (D.E. Shaw, Two Sigma, Citadel), research labs (Google Research, Microsoft Research, Adobe Research). Highly over-represented at international graduate schools.
