Overview

DME Tripura runs the state-quota NEET UG counselling for MBBS and BDS seats at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and Tripura Medical College (TMC). 15% of seats in every state government medical/dental college go to the All India Quota (AIQ), counselled separately by MCC (mcc.nic.in) - only the remaining share is filled through this state counselling. Tripura is a small state with very few in-state seats, so competition for the state quota is high relative to seat count, and many qualified candidates also apply through MCC's AIQ round for a wider set of options.

• Qualified NEET UG in the same admission year with the minimum required percentile for the category
• Tripura domicile/residence certificate as defined in that year's counselling brochure
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD) if claiming reserved-category benefit

1. Register on dme.tripura.gov.in once the NEET UG result is declared
2. Upload documents and pay the counselling fee/security deposit
3. Fill and lock choices between AGMC and TMC in order of preference
4. Check round-wise seat allotment and report to the allotted college within the given window

💡 Preparation Tips

• AGMC Agartala and TMC are the only two state-quota targets, so realistically order your two choices rather than treating it like a long list
• Keep the full document checklist ready in advance - NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, and valid ID proof - keep both originals and photocopies ready for verification.
• Because seat count is small, also register for MCC AIQ counselling to widen your options
