Overview

Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu (DME TN) conducts the state's NEET UG-based counselling for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats across government colleges (Madras Medical College, Stanley Medical College, Madurai Medical College and others), government-aided and self-financing private colleges. A distinctive feature of Tamil Nadu's system is its reserved quota for students who completed both Class 11 and 12 in a Tamil Nadu government school. 15% of seats in every state government medical/dental college go to the All India Quota (AIQ), counselled separately by MCC (mcc.nic.in) - only the remaining share is filled through this state counselling.
