Overview

APDHTE (Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher & Technical Education) runs the state's NEET UG-based counselling process, but Arunachal Pradesh has very limited in-state MBBS capacity of its own. Many Arunachal Pradesh-domiciled candidates instead compete for "Central Pool" MBBS/BDS seats - reserved seats in government medical colleges of other states set aside specifically for candidates from North-Eastern states and other special categories, allotted through a separate central process rather than a large in-state college pool.
