APDHTE UG Medical Counselling (AP Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Itanagar)

Exam Date
TBD
Duration
N/A

Overview

APDHTE (Arunachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher & Technical Education) runs the state's NEET UG-based counselling process, but Arunachal Pradesh has very limited in-state MBBS capacity of its own. Many Arunachal Pradesh-domiciled candidates instead compete for "Central Pool" MBBS/BDS seats - reserved seats in government medical colleges of other states set aside specifically for candidates from North-Eastern states and other special categories, allotted through a separate central process rather than a large in-state college pool.

Exam Pattern

Mode:Online counselling (no written exam)
Duration:Allotment rounds
Total Marks:N/A
Marking Scheme:Allotment based on NEET UG rank + AP reservation rules

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualified NEET UG in the same admission year
  • Arunachal Pradesh domicile certificate, required both for any in-state seats and for Central Pool eligibility
  • Category certificate for reserved-category claims, where applicable

Important Dates

Round 1
July-August 2027
Central pool seats
August-September 2027

Application Process

  1. Register on apdhte.nic.in after the NEET UG result for state-level processing
  2. Track Central Pool seat allotment separately, since these are allotted through a distinct central mechanism rather than APDHTE's own portal
  3. Complete document verification at the allotted institution

💡 Preparation Tips

  • Because in-state MBBS capacity is limited, treat the Central Pool route as your primary path rather than a backup - check the current year's Central Pool notification for the exact process
  • Keep the standard document checklist ready - NEET UG admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate (if applicable), passport-size photos, and valid ID proof - keep both originals and photocopies ready for verification.
