Most students make the mistake of picking a college based on a generic popularity ranking from portals like CollegeDunia or Shiksha — portals that show only OC (General category) closing ranks and sell your phone number to institutions. The reality is that the best college for you depends on your exact rank, your reservation category (OC, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST, EWS), your branch preference, your budget, and your career goals.
Edcore's college finder is the only tool in India that calculates a personalised fit score for each college — based on your actual priorities, not a one-size-fits-all ranking. Answer 8 questions and get a ranked list of colleges where you have a real admission chance and where the college genuinely fits your goals.
It depends on your category, branch preference, budget and location. A student with rank 25,000 in BC-B category has very different options than a student with the same rank in OC. Edcore cross-references your rank against the official TSCHE closing ranks for your specific category and gender, then ranks colleges by your priorities.
CollegeDunia and Shiksha show generic OC cutoffs and sell your contact details to colleges. Edcore shows you category-exact cutoffs (all 11 reservation categories × gender) sourced directly from official TSCHE/JNTUH documents — with no lead forms, no spam calls, and no ads.
A fit score (0–100) measures how well a college matches YOUR priorities specifically. Unlike NIRF rankings which are the same for everyone, your fit score is personal: a college with strong CSE placements ranks higher if placements matter to you; a college in your home district ranks higher if location is your priority.
Answer the 8 questions. Edcore generates a ranked list of colleges sorted by your fit score. Use that list directly for your web option entry — fill them top to bottom in the order shown. Colleges at the top are your best matches; colleges at the bottom are your safety options.
