Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT)

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), established in 1979 and autonomous since 2013, is one of the highest-cutoff private engineering colleges in Telangana. The campus is in Gandipet, near the Outer Ring Road and about 30 minutes from the Gachibowli and HITEC City IT corridor. NIRF placed it in the 151-200 band for engineering in 2024. Placements are strongest in CS, IT and ECE; core branches see noticeably weaker outcomes.

CBIT's Gandipet location puts it near Hyderabad's IT hubs (Gachibowli, HITEC City are roughly 30 minutes away). Autonomous status since 2013 gives it its own curriculum and exams under Osmania University affiliation. Student strength is approximate (~1,000 B.Tech intake per year).
